The Nisei (2018) is a short documentary about Joshua’s grandparents who lived through the Japanese Canadian internment camps during the second world-war.

The film was produced at York University and won the 2018 Cinesiege award for Best Second-Year Documentary Film. It also went on to become an official selection of the Vancouver Asian Film Festival in 2019.
